This was a 4 BHK house that family were living in and needed a complete redesign and refurbishment. Customer is a senior executive with a large MNC, while his wife teaches at a very prominent school in Gurgaon. They have a son and a daughter.
They key requirement was to “get the new feeling of space’ within the same house. The kids’ rooms had to be customized for each one of them to their taste and functional requirement. Most importantly the project had to be completed within timelines as they had temporarily stayed in a hotel during the execution of the project.
We used neutral shades of beige and wood for all the common areas and masted bedroom, while accenting it with a few bright pop-up colours. Kids rooms were bright colours with a hint of jazz by adding RGB lights in the ceiling. We added lot of brightness through glass, mirror and light to the washrooms to make give it the luxury feel. We worked with Motwani family to redesign the common area around dining to practically change the overall layout of the house. Also, addition of a bay window in the master bedroom gave it a new and spacious look! We ensured that the family is involved in the design process and see the execution progress to give them the peace of mind of timely completion, which we did!!!
